MSc in Biotechnology Engineering

My primary areas of responsibilities are ensuring high quality of our laboratory techniques and maintaining our Quality Management System. Besides that I work with validation of new devices and with our PCR assays e.g. our high-throughput multiplex RT-PCR for detecting SARS-CoV-2 in humans.

My special expertise is to be very detail-oriented and being very methodical in my work, which are essential qualifications when working with quality assurance.

My focus now and in the future is on keeping our QMS up to date, on establishing collaborations revolving around evaluation of diagnostic devices as well as on our COVID-19 diagnostics. In addition to that I work in the lab with purification of DNA/RNA and PCR and the associated data analysis.

In Centre for Diagnostics I am constantly presented with new challenges and learning opportunities.
